"Green cards" are not green. We have this on the reliable authority of Kim, who, after gracing our shores since 2003, has recently been granted permanent resident status. As the advance guard of our own internal British invasion, she fills a number of important roles at Park&Co, including defining tricky idioms like "chuffed" and "tarting it up," enduring our gleeful Monty Python monologues, and organizing afternoon tea. Kim thought she'd miss the holiday party madness back in December 06 when she stayed behind to "work," but she ended up calling all over northern Arizona to convince a skeptical van service to rescue the other eighteen of us from our roadside breakdown. It's amazing what people will agree to when it's requested in that "pommie" accent.
