youngest female car mechanic Angela Kamis

What do you have that needs fixing?

I was raised a tomboy, and my father taught me how to adapt to the ever-changing world around me. My father made sure all of his children could fend for themselves, especially his 4 daughters. From the time I was 6 years old, I was helping my dad in the garage attending to all 4 of our cars. I did everything from changing spark plugs and air filters to oil changes, pan and all. I was the youngest female mechanic in my neighborhood! Being a young female mechanic, you learn the different tricks of the trade. People would often look to me for help with just about anything – "Ask Angie, she’ll know how to do it." It's sort of how I ended up excelling at a lot of different things.

I love the thrill and excitement of figuring something out and then getting it done, kind of like helping my dad out when it came to fixing our cars. My role at Park&Co is very important because I help make everyone else’s job here easier. From doing online research for new business, organizing a really fun event for everyone to enjoy himself or herself, or figuring out how to reconfigure someone’s office. My job is very diverse and not really knowing what to expect each day it makes work that much more fun. Some people know exactly how their day will go, but mine is always up in the air, kind of like being a car mechanic. You never know what you are going to find under the hood until you take it apart. I take each project as it comes through my “garage” assessment, and then I find a way to fix it or what needs to happen to get it done.
