Bring Back Blue™ Wins Gold ADDY Award

Monday, March 10th, 2008 | Posted by Park Howell

How do you draw attention to the brown cloud over the Valley of the “Sun”… as well as get the attention of ADDY Awards judges? Sling a three-story dust mask across the front of the superior court building in downtown Phoenix and watch the recognition roll in. Park&Co was recently awarded a Gold ADDY Award in the Non-traditional category during the 23rd annual Phoenix competition. This rounds out a year of awards for Park&Co for the Bring Back Blue™ campaign, including a Telly, Rocky Mountain Emmy Nomination, and Crescordia Finalist.

The agency’s environmental work was also recognized with a Bronze ADDY in the Non-traditional category for its 138-gallon water pyramid developed for the international Water - Use It Wisely campaign, as well as a Bronze Award in the Consumer or Trade Publications category for Global Water.

Park&Co is also proud to announce that its work for Goodwill of Central Arizona received a Bronze ADDY in the Out-of-Home category.

Thanks to all of our clients who embrace our combustible approach to accelerating their growth through convergent media. Feel free to experience our other award-winning work, and meet the talented people behind it.

Cheers!

Goodwill International Sweater Day

Winners

And the winners are (from right to left, ’cause this competition was a little backwards to begin with)…

  • Rene Hinz for Most Unique Sweater (complete with holiday tunes, battery pack, and flashing lights)
  • Josh Feig for Most Striking Sweater (Bill Cosby would be proud)
  • Jon Hrach for That’s Just Plain Wrong Sweater (although the color palette was quite flattering on him)

Such are the results of the Park&Co First Annual International Sweater Day. See the entire collection on our Flickr photo album.

The rules were simple. Visit your local Goodwill store and pick out a sweater or wear one from home that you are going to donate to Goodwill. There you have it: a fashion competition that’d make Ralph Lauren blush.

Thank you all for participating in this wonderful event. Please considering hosting your own International Sweater Days, which are great for family reunions, church gatherings, instead of tired old charades at parties, and, of course, wakes.
