Unintentional Knowledge Gatherer

To say that I like to read… is a bit of an understatement.

I’m the kind of person that reads the back of cereal boxes, Chipotle cups and entire Yelp reviews. When I was younger, I used to hide in my room and just read all night. Then, my parents took away all my books and imposed a “book ban” because I was skipping dinner and family time to do my reading. Needless to say, they put me back on track with my childhood, but those were some dark days.

Today, I still read a lot and know some stuff about stuff. Friends and family come to me for information on a variety of topics, including music, shopping, cars, technology, social media, gadgets, the who’s who, the what’s what, etc. I’m not a self-professed know-it-all because I truly believe you learn something new every day, but I’d call myself an unintentional knowledge gatherer. Anything I read or see gets imperceptibly noted in my brain.

With this skill, I manage my clients by becoming immersed in their work and purpose. I try to understand why they do what they do, and what will drive consumers to purchase their product/service or believe in their cause. I’ll read, process and understand where they’re coming from and make sure their campaign is executed strategically as such. I can’t promise that I won’t spout off a few Did-you-knows or I-read-this-the-other-days, but I can promise that I’ll max out my knowledge capacity on my clients and their brands.

So, wanna start a book club?
